Vin Scully, a longtime commentator for the Los Angeles Dodgers, died Tuesday at the age of 94.
Scully was the Dodgers’ primary broadcaster from the time the Dodgers played in Brooklyn in 1950 until his retirement in 2016.
The Dodgers announced his obituary on Twitter late Tuesday night, released by Dodgers president and CEO Stan Kasten. the following statement:
“We’ve lost an icon. Dodgers Vin Scully was one of the greatest voices in all of sports. He was a great broadcaster and a humanitarian.” He loved people, he loved life, he loved baseball and the Dodgers, and he loved his family, his voice will always be heard, forever in our hearts. I know he was looking forward to joining the love of his life, Sandy.Our thoughts and prayers go out.During this very difficult time. To his family. Vinh will really miss him.
