New York City will transition some of its COVID-19 vaccination sites for children under 5 next week.
The Ministry of Health and Mental Health cited a recent drop in demand for sites and increased access to coronavirus vaccines.
“The number of immunizations at the city’s COVID-19 vaccination facilities for children has declined in recent weeks and we always plan to shift immunizations for very young children to providers. In fact, about 500 providers in New York City are administering vaccines to this age group,” a spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
“Due to the ongoing monkeypox emergency, we have moved some of these sites to administer the monkeypox vaccine,” he said.
