Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina may go down in history as the most notable battery of all time.
On Thursday, the two St. Louis Cardinals tied the MLB record for most starts together as a battery.

Mickey Lolich pitched Bill Freehan 324 times between 1963 and 1975. Basically, it’s The Rock who will break the record for Yadi and Waino’s 325th start next week.
Earlier this year, the duo set an MLB record for most games won by a team with the same starting battery, winning their 203rd. This broke the record set by Warren Spahn and Del Crandall of the Milwaukee Braves at the time.
And since fate seems to follow baseball, Molina had to give the historic day a memorable moment.

The catcher has long been known for his incredible defensive prowess, winning nine Gold Gloves and four Platinum Gloves, the third-most for a catcher in history.
