President Biden traveled to Pennsylvania on Tuesday for an event touting his “safer America” agenda and the administration’s policies around supporting law enforcement and crime, but changed his tone instead. , attacking Republicans and urging those in attendance to vote for the Democratic candidate, who is running for the position in Keystone State.
Shortly after taking the stage, Mr. Biden touted two prominent Democrats running for Pennsylvania. The first is Attorney General Josh Shapiro, who is running for the state’s next governor, and the second is the state’s Democratic Senate candidate, John Fetterman.
“Josh Shapiro is an advocate for the rule of law as Attorney General, and he’s going to be a hell of a governor,” Biden said in applause. “I really mean that.”
Ahead of the event, Biden spoke with Fetterman, who he considered to be a “strong voice.”
