In a pre-recorded speech on Monday, President Joe Biden claimed that he was “lacking courage” to stop the riot that former President Donald Trump attacked the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
“The police were heroes that day. Donald Trump didn’t have the courage to act,” the president said in a pre-recorded video aired at the National Black Law Enforcement Annual Meeting.
Biden said in his statement that his supporters and others violated Congress, resulting in the deadly shooting of Air Force veterans, Trump said in a private dining room next to the Oval Office. He accused him of sitting “in comfort.”
The president also said law enforcement officers and parliamentary police had endured “medieval hell for three hours.”

“I lost my life, and the defeated former U.S. president was watching everything happen while sitting in a comfortable place in the private dining room next to the Oval Office,” he said after quarantine. Said Biden. COVID-19 test positive last week.

In his speech, Biden also called Trump “in favor of the rebellion,” not saying he was “in favor of democracy,” “in favor of police,” or “in favor of the United States.”
The president’s remarks come from the Democratic Party-controlled Election Commission, which continues to hold hearings on the January 6 attack, often seeking a link between riots and Trump.
Democrats continue to publicly air hearings criticizing the former president, but are holding rallies nationwide amid speculation that Trump may bid again on the White House.
At a campaign rally in Prescott Valley, Arizona, Trump called on Americans to “unify” Washington’s “tyrants.”
“We never give in, we never give in,” he said in a speech. “We are only four months from the most important election in American history. If we don’t do this, it will be tragic.”

Mr. Trump has not yet officially announced whether he intends to run for president in 2024.
