Austin Riley will be with the Atlanta Braves for a long time.
The 25-year-old third baseman, a first-round pick in 2015, signed a 10-year, $212 million contract extension with the Braves that included a 2033 club option. The team announced the deal on Monday.

The deal is the most lucrative in Braves history.
“The way he plays the game and the consistency with which he does everything is unbelievable,” Braves manager Brian Snicker said Monday via MLB.com. “He does everything right and checks every box to make sure he’s the guy.”

Riley played in his first All-Star Game this season. 301 batting average, .964 OPS and 29 homers in 101 games. He leads the National League in slugging percentage (.604). He came out strong in his 2021, earning his MVP vote in the National League after hitting 33 home runs and scoring 107 RBIs.
The Braves now have some of their key players tied up for the next few years. Riley, Ronald Acuna Jr., Matt Olson and Ozzie Albies are under contract through at least the 2025 season. Olson has a club option through 2029, Akuna has a club option through 2028 and Albies has a club option through 2027.
