Starting in 2023, football fans will be able to stream NFL games on Black Friday. The league announced on Tuesday that he will have an NFL game on Amazon Prime Video the day after Thanksgiving.
The match is scheduled for November 24, 2023. Teams competing in Black Friday games will be announced when the NFL regular season schedule is released in May.
This is the first season of Prime Video, the exclusive home of ‘Thursday Night Football’. From 2023, 16 games will be streamed on Prime Video.

So far this season, Prime Video has aired five games on Thursday nights.
According to Nielsen Media Research, an average of 10.8 million people are playing these five games. Those numbers represent his 48% increase from his first five games on Thursday night last season.
Amazon has signed a deal with the NFL that will last through the 2033 season. The company pays an average of $1.2 billion per season for exclusive Thursday streaming rights.

Additional games for Black Friday will cost Amazon between $50 million and $70 million.

NFL owners passed a resolution in March giving the league permission to schedule another short turnaround game for Thanksgiving week.

Marie Donahue, Amazon’s vice president of global sports video, said the discussion about Black Friday games has gained momentum this year.
“Given what that day has already meant for millions of Americans, the number of people interacting with Amazon, and Amazon’s strong presence, and the fact that there were no NFL games that day. And we thought we could handle it, like the Super Bowl,” she said.
A World Cup game and several college football games are already scheduled for Black Friday this year.

This Thursday’s matchup will feature pairs 2-4 teams when the New Orleans Saints visit the Arizona Cardinals. Next week, quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Tom Brady will face off in the Ravens-Buccaneers game.
Since 2006, the NFL has played three games on Thanksgiving.
