Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to visit Milwaukee on Thursday, two months before the election and her third visit since taking office.
The White House said Monday that Harris is scheduled to speak at the Democratic Bar Association meeting. She will also meet with a local Latino leader and she plans to “engage with young Americans.”
Harris is the former Democratic Attorney General of California. Wisconsin Democratic Attorney General Josh Cole is on his November ballot, facing a challenge from Fond du Lac County district attorney, Republican Eric Toney.

Democratic Governor Tony Evers and Republican Senator Ron Johnson are also on the ballot. Evers will be challenged by Republican Tim Michels, and Johnson will face current lieutenant governor Mandela Burns.

Harris’ visit comes just two weeks after President Joe Biden came to Milwaukee to speak at the Labor Day Festival. Harris also promoted lead pipe replacement in Milwaukee in January and toured the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in May 2021 to host a roundtable on infrastructure investments.
