I want to Telosity by Vinaj Ventures is his 2019 fund that provides tech-based solutions to improve the mental health of young people who are used to doing almost everything on their phones and computers. intended to invest in Founder and CEO Anish Srivastava says he was inspired to launch the fund after seeing how few mental health resources were available, especially for children and his teens. According to Srivastava, “Accessibility is a very difficult thing. Technology can help democratize access to healthcare.”
If Telosity is successful, children and teens may soon be able to meet mental health counselors in cyberspace. More than just scheduling apps and telemedicine. New advances in virtual reality could make it much easier for doctors to examine and treat patients in an online environment. Telosity recognizes the growing market interest in augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), much of it focused on mental health assessment tools for providers. In many cases, it may not even be necessary to leave the house, making it even easier for children and teens to access mental health resources.
Good news for businesses too. Telosity released a report last month showing that his solutions for youth mental health will be his $260 billion market by 2027. The company said it is an unprecedented opportunity for businesses to strengthen their bottom line while simultaneously providing assistance to millions of the most vulnerable Americans. Srivasta says this could be a big selling point for investors in the mental health space. He said, “I think that there is an opportunity to do good while investing in and building a sustainable business, and that’s what drives technology.”
