First fox: South Carolina Senator Tim Scott will return to Iowa in a week and a half to headline a state Republican fundraising event.
But a visit to the state where a half-century-long caucuses kicked off the presidential nomination timeline could see Scott, a rising Republican star and the only black Republican in the Senate, run in the White House in 2024. causing more speculation that it is considering
Scott will headline the event on October 8 with Iowa GOP Chair Jeff Kaufman at the Sioux Center in Hawkeye’s red northwest corner. Word of the event was first shared with Fox News on Wednesday.
“Tim Scott was a leading Republican voice on the national stage. I know Northwest Iowa is thrilled to hear him talk about opportunity and optimism for America’s future. “Scott certainly knows how to move crowds and will bring high energy to our conservative supporters heading into the final month of the midterm elections,” Kaufman said in a statement.

The stop is Scott’s second in Iowa in a month. He was in Central City in the eastern part of the state in his late August, headlining Republican Rep. Ashley Hinson’s annual BBQ his bash. Mr. Hinson could have a tough time getting re-elected in November. Scott also traveled to Iowa in his June to headline Iowa Republican Cedars his Rapids fundraising reception.

Scott, who has traveled to Iowa and New Hampshire in the past year to host the first primary in a century-long White House campaign, has sparked speculation about his national ambitions.
But the senator has consistently downplayed talk of a possible 2024 White House run. But Scott added that the 2022 election will be his last Senate election.

Scott was a member of Congress from South Carolina when he was elected to the House of Representatives in 2010. Three years later he was appointed by the then governor. Nikki Haley has filled a vacancy in the Senate, becoming the first black Republican in over 30 years. He won his 2014 special election and completed his six-year term in 2016. He will have an advantage in re-election in November.
As a sign of his growing prestige among Republicans and Republicans nationwide, Scott became one of the top fundraiser within the party.
