Several vehicles were caught in mud and debris after a landslide hit California, fire officials said.
Firefighters responded to the mudslide and helped about 50 people in 20 vehicles. Mud reportedly pushed the vehicle across the road.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department tweeted that a landslide had occurred near Pine Canyon Road between Shaffer Road and Blaisdell Road.
The bureau said troops arrived at the scene around 7:40 p.m. and freed vehicles that had been unable to escape the mud and debris flow.

Some were rescued by firefighters on the ground, while others were transported to safety by Los Angeles Fire Department helicopters, LAFD said.
The Red Cross and public works have been notified.
Southbound Lake Hughes Road south of Elizabeth Lake Road and other roads in the area were closed due to landslides.
Fire officials said the incident was still ongoing.

So far, police and fire officials have not said if anyone was injured in the landslide.
