A woman who asked only to identify herself as Rachel said she did not believe the teenage suspect had been rehabilitated five months after being sent to juvenile probation.
“I don’t think anyone in the room thinks[the suspect]is a good kid,” he said during a conference call at the Los Angeles County Courthouse in Lancaster, California. “Look what he did. No one fundamentally changes who they are in four months.”

Prosecutors said the teenage boy, who is not named because he is a minor, has been involved in 14 fights and has been accused of misconduct, disobedience, destructive language and defying authority. Some probation reports, however, praised his actions.
Barrera continued the proceedings and ordered the court to request a case report detailing all violations involving the suspect at the probation camp.
During testimony, county probation officer Charles Wilson was questioned by prosecutor Shay Sanna about the report, which included a summary stating that the teen had “improved tone and disposition to authority.”
Wilson could not elaborate on how the boy improved his behavior, but said he began to take responsibility by admitting that he had been involved in fights and other incidents. pointed out that the teenagers started fighting on their second day at camp, followed by more physical altercations in the weeks that followed.

The teenage driver fled the scene before Good Samaritan in a pickup truck pushed him off the road.
Rachel previously told Fox News Digital that she suffered severe cuts to her arm, hand and shoulder, and that she slipped three discus on her back and rolled onto the hood of the car.
The boy did not have a driver’s license at the time of the crime, and was already on probation for a felony on suspicion of poisoning a high school girl’s drink. The incident left Rachel scared of her neighborhood and prompted her family to sell their house and leave Los Angeles, she said Wednesday.
“I hate where I live because every time I leave the house it constantly reminds me of what happened to us,” she said. I’m planning to leave Los Angeles on , so I’d like you to stay at the camp at least until then. If I knew he was home, I would be afraid I would be in LA every day. โ

Despite his previous crimes, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon’s office sought a five to seven-month sentence in the juvenile’s probation camp. It was in line with Gascon’s progressive criminal justice policy, which treats criminals less harshly.
At the time, he described it as less rigorous than military school, but more rigorous than summer camp.
Fox News Digital reached out to Gascon’s office.
