First Lady Jill Biden to host Hispanic Heritage Month event but has not commented on celebration just three months after being mocked for comparing Latinos to ‘breakfast tacos’ .
“Yes, the first lady will host a Hispanic Heritage Month reception at the White House to stay involved in the community as she travels the country,” Elizabeth Alexander, the first lady’s director of communications, told Fox News Digital on Friday. A reception date and details have not been announced.
Despite plans to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Jill Biden has yet to make an official statement about the celebration.
In early July, Jill Biden compared the Latinx community to breakfast tacos while speaking to a group of Hispanic voters at the 2022 UnidosUS Annual Meeting in San Antonio.

After the speech, several Republican Hispanic candidates condemned Biden’s comments, including Alexis Martinez Johnson, the Republican nominee for New Mexico’s third congressional district.
