Herbert found Xander Horvath for the Chargers’ first touchdown of the game early in the second quarter. But the Chiefs weren’t done yet. Luck was on our side. The interception was overturned rather surprisingly, so Mahomes took advantage of it. I reduced it to 3 points in the middle of the round.

Herbert left the game to play after grabbing his ribcage in a tackle, but was clearly in pain for the rest of the night. The Chiefs added another field goal to take a 27–17 lead with less than four minutes remaining.
