1. Travel incognito
When you navigate using Google Maps, your location is saved to your profile. Turn on incognito mode to prevent pop-ups from appearing in Recent Places.

How to turn on incognito mode on your iPhone or Android:

3. Find cheap fuel
It might be worth driving a few extra miles for cheaper fuel, but you’ll end up wasting more gas if you don’t know exactly where you’re going.
Use the Waze app to find the cheapest gas stations nearby. Note: Gas prices are crowdsourced and may not always be up to date.
Here’s how it works:
open Waze App.
Tap. where?search bar Tap. gas station icon.
Your device will start searching for the nearest stations and display the fare for each.
Want to see gas stations sorted by price? Method is as follows.
Open WaysTap. My Ways.
Tap. settings icon in the upper left corner gas station.
select price Sort stations by section.
Tap or click for more ways to find the cheapest gas prices near you.

4. Clear your location history
This is for iPhone users. Like anything else, if you want to revisit a place you’ve explored in the past, Apple Maps remembers your searches. We recommend deleting your history. Method is as follows.
Open apple map When swipe up Click to open the information panel.
History is displayed below Recently. Tap erase Delete a specific location.
Tap to delete the complete history. View All > Clear.

5. Send an alert when you’re running late
If you’re running late, share your route and let family and friends know when you’ll arrive.
To share your estimated arrival time on Google Maps:
Tap directionselect a destination, then start.
swipe up and choose Share your trip progress.
Select a contact and tap shareYour location will be shared until you arrive.
To share your ETA on Apple Maps:
Find your destination and tap direction Select a route.
Once in navigation mode, say: “Hey Siri, share my estimated arrival time with a friend.”
Say a friend’s name to help Siri recognize people in your Contacts list. Your friends will receive a notification that you are heading.
To share your ETA on Waze:
Start navigating to your destination and tap . share a drive.
