The Paper Fair returns to downtown Manhattan at Pier 36 (previously used by NADA) for its eighth edition with 100 galleries showcasing contemporary paper-based art. large-scale interactive installations, prints, Exhibition of hand-woven tapestries printed out Abortion legal documents, anti-immigration memorandums, Supreme Court opinions, and more. spring break art show
Its 10th anniversary exhibition, Spring/Break, will feature the youngest artisans of New York’s fair, showcasing the work of emerging artists at the Atlantic Production Center in Midtown East. This year’s theme, “Naked Lunch,” pays homage to Renaissance themes, with a focus on returning to nature, sculpture and physical arts. Expect free-love-style social encounters, Greek philosophy, and bohemian depictions. Tickets for opening night are $47. Regular show days are $36. Clio Art Fair
Founded in 2014, CLIO calls itself “Independent Artists’ Anti-Justice,” taking its name from Kleio, the historical muse of Greek mythology. This etymology means “celebrate” or “make famous.” As the name suggests, CLIO works with artists who are not affiliated with New York City galleries. This year’s fair has a special section devoted to the relationship between humans and screens. General admission tickets are $20.
